Reggae Sumfest is the biggest festival in Jamaica and has been around for more than 25 years. This massive annual festival is the biggest Reggae festival in the world. Why? For almost three decades, Montego Bay in Jamaica has been hosting the “Greatest Reggae Show on Earth”—the most relaxing all-nighter ever. This major Caribbean reggae event is famous for its epic parade of the best artists for all the major sub-genres of music including Roots Reggae and Dance Hall.
In 2026, the event has been scaled back to a one-day mega concert following the destruction caused by Hurricane Melissa in 2025. However, this does not diminish the vibrant atmosphere for which Reggae Sumfest is renowned. Visitors can still experience the “Taste of Reggae Sumfest,” featuring two of Jamaica’s legendary performers, Vybz Kartel and Mavado, at the new venue, Plantation Cove in St. Ann.
